So, I finally decided it was about time we created a joint blog now that we are officially our own new family :D
Everything is going well! Me and Brad are both really busy with school and work, but we are having a blast going to BYU football games and enjoying the beautiful fall weather. We got our apartment all set up (besides the select few boxes in the corner) and it is looking really pretty. We will post pictures of it soon.
Brad is really busy with his capstone project and with his medical research. He and his mechanical engineering group got the project they wanted, which is to improve the front of Union Pacific trains in order to make them more aerodynamic and in turn more fuel efficient. He also got a position on a research team and he gets to do experiments with rats! It is a neuroscience research team and he is hoping the professor will let him stay on for the summer.
I just have a bunch of history classes this semester and just recently changed my major to history teaching. I want to teach high school students. So, while I am really enjoying my classes there is a lot of reading and writing involved. I am still working at the library and I am getting more and more opportunities from my supervisor to actually teach the classes instead of just TA them, which is wonderful because this will look great for my teaching resume!
Me and Brad went on our first bike ride together last weekend :D To say the least, I am out of shape. haha. But it was tons of fun and I just need more practice. We rode up the canyon up in Mapleton with Bradford and with Brandon and the trees were beautiful! They were all turning different colors. I borrowed Marilyn's bike and shoes and the shoes took a little getting used to and I was really nervous at first, but it became easier. Brad was very sweet and patient with me. So, I went 11 or 12 miles for my first ride and it was really fun.
That is all we have to report for now, but keep checking the blog for pictures :D

Woohoo! I'm the first to comment! Good job on the blog. It looks really good. Just be sure to update it more than brad ever updated his....it shouldn't be too hard :)
glad to see a joint blog finally! You know, we've all become 'information junkies' so it's really good that you let us peek into your lives - saves time calling and bugging you while you study!
Thanks for the update! Keep having fun!
