Red, White, and Blue

We had a VERY rainy Fourth of July. I seriously cannot remember a Fourth of July that was so wet. So I am so thankful that family got to come see us for the holiday! It made it so fun and happy despite the dismal weather. We all had a little bit of cabin fever after the 3rd day of rain, but we were finally able to go out in the sun the last day or two they were here. My mom, my brother James, and my sister Amy and her husband Mike came up for about 5 days. We did some little fireworks on the back patio and had a big American feast to celebrate since we did not want to go sit in the pouring rain to see the big ones. We also went to go see Despicable Me 2 together and we went out to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. On Sunday it finally cleared up and we went and walked around the Henry Clay Estate and it was PERFECT weather! It wasn't very hot because of the previous rain and it just felt so good outside. It was really fun to see some Kentucky history and just enjoy being outside together. And then on Monday we went to the pool and had BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs in the evening. I am so glad that my family got to come and see us since it will probably be until Christmas until we see them again! Love you guys!

 We all love pop-Its!

The sparklers were a big hit until Ryder burned his finger on one. Poor little guy. Luckily he bounced back pretty fast because a few days later he still held a few.

 Brad being silly

Brad being...not sure. haha. And my beautiful sister amy and her husband mike.

We love Grandma! Aiden looks like he wants to run...not sure if that is because he hates stopping what he is doing to take pictures or if it is because he is trying to avoid touching the prob still hot/warm sprinkler in my mom's hand :)

 The sun is out!

 Love my mama.

 Pool time!

An evening stroll in the park. I love old Southern Plantations.

Yep that is Ryder way out there. I think they played tag for an hour before we left.
