I can't believe Ryder is 2! He is getting so big. This last month his talking has really taken off and he says all kinds of sentences now. For a while his favorite was "I don't want to." But now he says "Where are you?", "I want ___", "I am full", and he has started asking "why" about lots of things :) He loves to copy his big brother and he has already learned to count to ten, all his colors, and quite a few letters from him. He also loves to race and sword fight with his brother (or really any one who is willing) He would do that all day if he could. He especially loves to pretend shoot and makes all the awesome sound effects :) I think someone takes after his Daddy with his love for guns.
On his birthday that just happened to be the day we planned on going to King's Island (a big amusement/water park) and I wanted to do an UP theme (the Disney movie) for his birthday because he loves that movie. He really loves dogs and of course loves balloons so it is a favorite at our house. So the night before his birthday I bought him some helium filled balloons and I was going to try to surprise him with them in the morning, but I realized that then he would not get to play with them all day since we would be gone at the amusement park and I realized that it would be REALLY hard to sneak them inside without him seeing me so I just gave them to him and he LOVED them. He wanted to sleep with them in his bed he loved them so much :)
Anyways then on his birthday we had tons of fun at King's Island! We went to the little kiddie land and the water park and the boys had a lot of fun on the rides. Ryder's favorite was the carousel and I think Aiden's was either the little roller coaster or the airplanes. And at the water park Aiden loved floating on the tubes on the lazy river (I think he went like 4 or 5 times) and Ryder loved the kiddie pool with the splash pad area and a waterfall area. And when we got home we had cake and opened a few presents before bed. We opened the rest of his presents in the morning just because he was SO tired when we got home that night.
I feel so blessed to have my Ryder! He is so full of happiness and spunk and laughter. We love you Ryder!
