Random Fun

So I have a bunch of pictures that somehow just did not make it on to any of my earlier posts, but I LOVE them! So I thought I would just do a picture post of a bunch of random fun from this past summer. There is nothing I love more than laughing and spending time together with my family :)

Just chillin on my ride with some cheese and my balloons.

 Naked buddies in their fort

We learned to do flips together.

 iPad bonding time

 Handsome like his Daddy :)

 Post bath time shenanigans

 My little cherub.

I can't remember if I posted this one or not, but he just looks so happy. I love it.

 Rides at the fair.

 So much cuteness.

 Face painting

 Pony rides!

Being goofy while we wait in line.

 The best Daddy.

In all the birthday madness I forgot my own! I'm 25 woot! Oh and this chocolate mousse cup was delicious.

 Fire truck time!

And wrestling around in the grass :) Cuz that's what brothers do.

Ryder's Birthday

I can't believe Ryder is 2! He is getting so big. This last month his talking has really taken off and he says all kinds of sentences now. For a while his favorite was "I don't want to." But now he says "Where are you?", "I want ___", "I am full", and he has started asking "why" about lots of things :) He loves to copy his big brother and he has already learned to count to ten, all his colors, and quite a few letters from him. He also loves to race and sword fight with his brother (or really any one who is willing) He would do that all day if he could. He especially loves to pretend shoot and makes all the awesome sound effects :) I think someone takes after his Daddy with his love for guns.

On his birthday that just happened to be the day we planned on going to King's Island (a big amusement/water park) and I wanted to do an UP theme (the Disney movie) for his birthday because he loves that movie. He really loves dogs and of course loves balloons so it is a favorite at our house. So the night before his birthday I bought him some helium filled balloons and I was going to try to surprise him with them in the morning, but I realized that then he would not get to play with them all day since we would be gone at the amusement park and I realized that it would be REALLY hard to sneak them inside without him seeing me so I just gave them to him and he LOVED them. He wanted to sleep with them in his bed he loved them so much :)

Anyways then on his birthday we had tons of fun at King's Island! We went to the little kiddie land and the water park and the boys had a lot of fun on the rides. Ryder's favorite was the carousel and I think Aiden's was either the little roller coaster or the airplanes. And at the water park Aiden loved floating on the tubes on the lazy river (I think he went like 4 or 5 times) and Ryder loved the kiddie pool with the splash pad area and a waterfall area. And when we got home we had cake and opened a few presents before bed. We opened the rest of his presents in the morning just because he was SO tired when we got home that night.

I feel so blessed to have my Ryder! He is so full of happiness and spunk and laughter. We love you Ryder!

Candle in the breakfast yogurt :)

On the train at the park

Aiden's first ride of the day. He loved it :)

Lunch break. I just can't believe both boys are looking and smiling at the camera!

 Happy on the carousel

The UP cake. Not the best frosting job I've done, but I still think it turned out super cute!

Opening the light saber! He LOVES this :) Thanks Alison! There has been all kinds of light saber action around the house.

His new light up gun that makes sounds when you shoot. He LOVES it! Thanks Gigi and Poppi!
I also love this picture of him lounging with his toy gun and lollipop sticking out of his mouth :)

Trying to blow out the candles yet again before we are done singing :)

He automatically went for the Dum Dums and had about 3 he was trying to eat all at the same time. Lollipops are his favorite :)

Red, White, and Blue

We had a VERY rainy Fourth of July. I seriously cannot remember a Fourth of July that was so wet. So I am so thankful that family got to come see us for the holiday! It made it so fun and happy despite the dismal weather. We all had a little bit of cabin fever after the 3rd day of rain, but we were finally able to go out in the sun the last day or two they were here. My mom, my brother James, and my sister Amy and her husband Mike came up for about 5 days. We did some little fireworks on the back patio and had a big American feast to celebrate since we did not want to go sit in the pouring rain to see the big ones. We also went to go see Despicable Me 2 together and we went out to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. On Sunday it finally cleared up and we went and walked around the Henry Clay Estate and it was PERFECT weather! It wasn't very hot because of the previous rain and it just felt so good outside. It was really fun to see some Kentucky history and just enjoy being outside together. And then on Monday we went to the pool and had BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs in the evening. I am so glad that my family got to come and see us since it will probably be until Christmas until we see them again! Love you guys!

 We all love pop-Its!

The sparklers were a big hit until Ryder burned his finger on one. Poor little guy. Luckily he bounced back pretty fast because a few days later he still held a few.

 Brad being silly

Brad being...not sure. haha. And my beautiful sister amy and her husband mike.

We love Grandma! Aiden looks like he wants to run...not sure if that is because he hates stopping what he is doing to take pictures or if it is because he is trying to avoid touching the prob still hot/warm sprinkler in my mom's hand :)

 The sun is out!

 Love my mama.

 Pool time!

An evening stroll in the park. I love old Southern Plantations.

Yep that is Ryder way out there. I think they played tag for an hour before we left.
